The structured part of project management provides the framework necessary to define and coordinate the multitude of tasks, personnel, deadlines, costs, etc. that comprise the project. Project management structures include project breakdown structures, such as a work breakdown structure (WBS), organizational chart, cost account and contract breakdown. They also include document classification and coding schemes.
Works Organiser encourages you to set up appropriate structures for your project, following construction industry best practice, right from the start. We refer to this as project configuration. A workbook approach to configuration is followed to set-up and administer Works Organiser, using construction industry terminology and techniques that you are familiar with. The project configuration also provides you with key inputs to your Quality Management Plan.
Works Organiser supports the following project management structures (capabilities planned for future releases shown in italics).
